Judith (Judy) J. DeMilio, nee Jagielski, was born on May 9th, 1946 and passed away on July 24th, 2024, at the age of 78 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Judy was born on May 9th, 1946 to Paul and Pauline Jagielski in Chicago, Illinois. She was the baby (6th) of 6 children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Dolores, Leonard, Paul, Joan and Patricia.
She is survived by her only daughter, Tracy (Aaron) Allenbaugh and granddaughter Emerson Allenbaugh, of Sunrise, Florida.
Judy relocated to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1978 with her job to create a better future for both her and her daughter, Tracy. She resided in Fort Lauderdale for over 45 years where she made many wonderful memories and friendships.
Judy was a wiz with numbers and worked the majority of her life as a financial Bookkeeper, as well as serving as her Home Association’s Board Treasurer for many years.
Judy was a dedicated mother who worked hard to provide a foundation of love, stability, and faith to her daughter Tracy. She was strong, independent, and cherished her family. She was a loving and devoted Gaga to her granddaughter, Emerson Allenbaugh. She adored every moment with Emerson and they loved to play games, watch movies and have sleepovers.
She was an avid book reader, lover of word puzzles and a fantastic cook. Her famous lasagna, gingerbread, and crescent cookies were the highlight of our family holidays.
Judy was a warrior and a survivor of both Crohn’s Disease and Lymphoma. She was the core of our family and will be forever missed.
She had a great love for butterflies and enjoyed collecting anything butterfly related. Her faith in God was strong and she always believed butterflies were a symbol of spiritual transition.
------------- The Butterfly’s Legacy -----------
A soul so pure, a heart so kind,
A butterfly’s essence, now enshrined,
In every gentle flutter of wings,
The beauty of your spirit sings,
A beacon of hope, in times of despair,
A loving presence, always there,
The wind beneath our fragile wings,
A melody of love, your memory brings,
Through every storm, you held us near,
In your cocoon, no need to fear,
A great person, a soul so rare,
A butterfly’s touch, forever we’ll wear.
