Alice S. Buchner, 83, of Hollywood, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2021 surrounded by her family. Alice was born January 12, 1938 in Poland. She was the daughter of Arthur and Olga Schmidt. Alice was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 20 years, Karl Buchner, who was a Master Butcher by trade. Both Alice and her husband Karl immigrated through Ellis Island in New York. They met through mutual relatives and married on August 29, 1958. Her husband, Karl, passed away on April 8, 1981 of ALS. Our mother was the strongest woman we ever knew who overcame many challenges in life with a positive and hopeful outlook. She was known for being a kind and humble person and passed along these attributes to her loved ones by her example. Her devotion and purpose in life was her family. Alice is survived by her daughters Monica (Marc) Gallet de St. Aurin and Edith (Roger) Clavelli and five grandchildren Karl Gallet de St. Aurin (Caitlyn), Christina Iglesias (Jose), James Gallet de St. Aurin, Michael Clavelli and Kyle Clavelli.
