Lewis L. Ogilvie, 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Hollywood, FL, July 15, 2020. Beloved husband to his wife Virginia (formerly McArdle) of 50 years, Lew was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. He was the youngest of the six children of Cecil C. & Catherine M. Ogilvie, all of whom are predeceased. The family immigrated to Newton, MA, USA where he graduated from Newton High School. Lew never stopped in his quest for knowledge and attended Jr. College part time while working. He joined the Masonic Fraternity and became Past Master of Dalhousie Lodge. He was manager of Ken Kaye Krafts in Newtonville and then moved into a successful career in sales with G & S Paper. Lew & Virginia relocated to Southborough where he expanded his territory and made cherished friendships with their Southborough neighbors. He always put his family first and kept his customers best interests at heart. In the 80s, Lew retired moved to Hollywood, FL to take care of his ailing mother-in-law and aunt. He took an interest in Real Estate and renovated family homes. He was also active in various charities and clubs including the Hollywood Rotary Club with donations made to Hollywood Rotary Foundation, 2349 Taylor Street, Hollywood, FL 33020, a Board Member of the Marti Huizenga Boys and Girls Club/Hollywood chapter and the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Memorial Foundation. He is survived by his loving wife Virginia “Ginny” and many nieces and nephews who adored their “Uncle Lew”. A Celebration of a Life well lived will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any of the aforementioned foundations and groups where Lew volunteered his time.
