Lynn S. Sauchelli VanderWyde, 69, of Cooper City, FL passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Born in Newark, New Jersey to Mario “Matt” and Gloria Maffei Sauchelli; preceded in death by brother, John Emil Sauchelli, FL and father, Mario V. “Matt” Sauchelli, FL. Survived by her husband of almost 49 years, Cornelius "Butch" VanderWyde, Cooper City, FL; daughters, Monica (Tim) VanderWyde Schletter, Brooklyn, NY, Tracy (David) Hill, Plantation, FL and April (Juan Carlos) Gonzalez, Jacksonville, FL; beloved mother, Gloria Maffei Sauchelli, formerly of Maplewood, NJ, Cooper City, FL; sister Kathy (Walter) Bretana, Davie, FL; five loving grandchildren Danielle Rose, Christopher John, Lucas Gabriel, Gabriela Lucia and Arlen James, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Beloved Teacher, Principal, Special Projects Administrator and Mentor. Worked at St. David Catholic School, St. Bernadette Catholic School, Archdiocese of Miami, St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic School and Schott Center Communities.

Her love for life included voracious reading, lifelong learning, traveling with her husband, studying English literature and poetry, crafting, creating and honoring family traditions and reveling in a playful retirement with her grandchildren. Enjoyed arts and pop culture, theatre, music, quoting movie classics, talk radio and sports, especially the NY Yankees and Miami Hurricanes. A beautiful, kind, generous woman of faith who loved her mother, sister, husband, daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren more than life itself.

Viewing Monday, February 8, 2021, 6-9pm with a Prayer Service at 6:30pm at Valerie Panciera's Landmark Funeral Home. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection Tuesday, February 9, 2021, 10:00am at St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
