Visitation will be Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 2:00pm – 4:00pm with funeral services commencing at 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Dominica at a date to be announced. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations to The Sheriff Foundation of Broward County.

Michael Royer passed away peacefully at home in Hollywood, Florida on January 16, 2021, at the age of seventy-six. He was born on the island of Dominica, West Indies and moved to Curacao when he was 2 years old, where he spent most of his childhood. He then migrated back to Dominica as a teenage boy. In Dominica, he worked at A.C. Shillingford and Company and at NAPA Auto Parts in St. Maarten. Michael married his childhood sweetheart, Brunette Royer (nee Bleau). They were married for 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Brunette, sons, Clifton Royer and Ronald Royer; daughters, Ruby Royer-Anselm, Rubia Royer-William, Grace Royer and Rena Royer; sons-in-law, Kent Anselm and Blair William; daughter-in-law Virginia Royer, grandchildren Kama, Odessa Royer, Jelani Bardouille, Michaela William, Ruent Anselm, Brielle William, Sarai Royer and Benicio William, great-grand daughter Jahliah Birmingham, sisters, Windolyn Adrien, François Darrou, Rosemund Royer (Rosy) and Vilna Royer, nieces, Bertillia McKenzie, Debra Pemberton-Remy, Adeline Dubois-David, Maria Daniel and others, nephews, Hubert Peter, Marcus Royer and others, cousins Michael LeBlanc, Prime Minister Honorable Roosevelt Skerrit and too many more to mention.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
