Teresita “Tita” Godinez Encalada died peacefully in her home in Hallandale Beach FL, on Friday December 29, 2023 at the age of 71.
Teresita is survived by her children, Terri Elaine Encalada, Jessica Geiser, Jennifer Rodriguez and Teresa Jane Geiser, five grandchildren and twin great grandchildren. Siblings, Narcisa Agujar, Estrella Opolentisima and Mildred Driz in the Philippines. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents and six siblings.
Teresita was born on January 26, 1952 in Cebu, Philippines to parents Mrs. Gaudencia Godinez and Mr Florentino Godinez. She possessed many talents. Graduated from Miami Technical Institute with a degree in Medical Assistant, was a beautician and natural entrepreneur. Being a military wife allowed her to travel around the world and experience different cultures.
Teresita was a fun-loving soul. She participated in numerous community activities. She enjoyed dancing, bowling, crocheting, playing Bingo and Zumba. She expressed her Catholic faith through kind hearted acts of opening her door to those in need and sheltering loved ones.
A service with be held on Thursday, January 4th at Landmark Funeral Home to celebrate Teresita’s life. .
The family would like to thank all those who contributed to memories that made her life richer and more meaningful.

Betty J. Miller, 92, formerly of Hollywood Florida, passed away February 10, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA to James and Sara Brennan. Betty worked for Barry University and the University of Miami department of Neurology as a secretary until retirement. She was a devout catholic and longstanding member of Nativity Catholic Church. She was a Eucharistic minister, a member of the Legion of Mary and very active volunteering with Respect Life. She was married for 62 years to the love of her life Alfred P. Miller(predeceased) and they had 5 children together. Sons Kevin Miller and Alfred P. Miller Jr both (predeceased). She is survived by daughters Diane Diamond (Roland Dezentje) and Susan Miller; son Robert Miller (Annie Fair); grandchildren Jacqueline, Justin (Ashley), Meghan (Vernon), Josey, Courtney, and Crystal; great grandchildren Taylor, Avery, Lucas, Cash and niece Janice Matthews. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 18th, 10:30 – 11:30 at Landmark Funeral Home with Funeral Mass of the Resurrection at 12:00noon at Nativity Catholic Church followed by entombment at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in North Lauderdale.

Anna F. Rossi, 100, of Hollywood, passed away January 28, 2025. Born in Italy to Camilo Bagiotti and Virginia Nigri. She made her living as a successful business owner of an electronics company. Survived by daughters Elena Molina and Marilyn Rossi; sister-in-law Angela Bagiotti and grandson Louis (Monica) Molina. Beloved Father, Loving Grandpa, & Dearest Friend; Julius Bruce Chiusano, of Hollywood, Florida, known to family & friends as Bruce, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at the age of 76 surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was born in Englewood, NJ to the late Betty & Julius Chiusano. Dear brother of the late Jeffery Chiusano and Gail Chiusano. Bruce grew up in North Bergen, NJ graduating from North Bergen High School in 1966. He proudly served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He is survived by his loving children Brian Chiusano with Dawn Autuori, Dana Lyons with her husband Jared Lyons, Alexis Chiusano with mom Debi Bohanan and his dearest granddaughter Emma Grace Lyons. Paul Victor DeBianchi, 75, of Fort Lauderdale, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on November 16, 2024. Born on November 1, 1949, in Suffern, New York, Paul moved to South Florida at seven. A devoted Catholic, family man, friend, and lawyer, he graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1973 as the family’s first attorney and served his clients with care for over 45 years. Beyond his work, Paul was a tech enthusiast and documentarian of family life. He loved traveling the world by cruise ship, and equally enjoyed the simple pleasures of home (including watching Star Trek, and later, Blue Bloods). A loyal Mai Kai fan, he’d be happy to know it reopened. Above all, Paul was a family man. He was active at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, an incredible father, and the proudest “Poppop” and Grandpa to his six grandchildren. His unconditional commitment and love for Valerie exemplified the vows of “in sickness and in health.” He taught his daughters the importance of hard work, patience, discipline, and integrity, lessons that will endure for generations to come. Paul will be forever cherished and is survived by his daughters Jessica and Samantha, their spouses Amir and Tony, grandchildren Paul, Robbie, Isabel, Domenic, Tarek and Luca, sister Loni James, brother Victor DeBianchi, Jr., nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of nearly 45 years, Valerie, who passed 5.5 months earlier. Paul’s legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Though we grieve, we find comfort in knowing he and Valerie’s souls are reunited and at peace.

In the memo please write “In Memory of Richard Decatur II” . Richard Decatur II, known as “Richie,” passed away on January 13, 2025, in Dania Beach, Florida, at the age of 40. He was the younger of two children, born to Richard and Karen Decatur in Cheverly, MD. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought warmth and laughter to all who knew him. Richie was a simple guy who found joy in the little things—working on his cars, spending time at home with his parents, and hanging out with his neighbors. You could always find him outside tinkering with his cars or chatting with neighbors, offering advice on anything automotive. His greatest pride and joy was his 1980 Buick Regal, a restoration project he had been dedicated to for over 20 years. His proudest moments were spent bringing it back to life, pouring his heart and craftsmanship into every detail. He also devoted his talent in restoring his sister’s classic 1968 Ford Mustang, another testament to his passion and skill. Richie’s meticulous nature and strong work ethic meant he never missed a day on the job- he loved working at Dent Wizard, taking immense pride in everything he did. There, he formed a brotherhood with his co-workers, a bond that can never be broken. Beyond his love for cars, he was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He had a way of making people laugh, lifting spirits with his clever remarks and effortless charm. His presence will be deeply missed. He is survived by his parents Richard and Karen Decatur; sister Christina Decatur Barreras, brother in law Henry Barreras, and nieces Arya Barreras and Madison Ortiz. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of hard work, humor, and passion will never be forgotten.

The oldest of two siblings and the only girl, Carol was born to Bessie and Joseph Springer in Salem NJ in 1939. She met the love of her life Henry “Sonny” Scholz while roller skating in NJ. They married, had son David, daughter Debbi, and son Joseph. They were also blessed with Daniel and Donald, a set of twins who passed shortly after birth. On a family vacation in Hollywood, they looked at each other and then to their beautiful children and decided that Hollywood would be their new home. Carol wore many hats in her lifetime. She was an assistant in a law firm, was a manager at a large newspaper in Miami, and then she found her true calling as the creative force of Joan’s Florist, the flower shop that she owned and operated for 25 years. On this new creative journey she found her second greatest love, being the florist on the world’s most beautiful cruise ships. She was able to travel the world, explore over 50 countries, and was inspired by her adventures to create stunning florals for all travelers to enjoy. After retirement her and Sonny became avid travelers with just a map, a camper, and a love for being with each other on the open road. They instilled that love for travel in their children but shared that cherished quality time with all their grandchildren. When they were not traveling Carol bonded with her granddaughters by sharing her passions for baking, sewing, and crafting. Carol’s love for her friends and family was an endless spring that kept on giving. Whether you knew her for her whole life or had only spoken to her a handful of times, it was clear from the moment you connected with her that you had a new friend for life. She is survived by her daughter Debbi Torchia (Greg Torchia), son Joseph Scholz (Sharon Helms), daughter in law Wendy Scholz, and sister in law Mary Anne Springer. Grandchildren; Michelle Charette (Josh Charette), Lauren Torchia, Candice Torchia-Knight (Chad Knight), Alexandria Panella (PJ Panella), Ashley Ivey, Amanda Kruis (Derk Kruis), Allison Yager (Michael Yager), Trevor Helms, Mackenzie Helms, and Allison Helms. Great grandchildren; Brennen, Brycen, Bronwyn, Charlotte, Peyton, Braylynne, Tripp, Blakelynne, and Brayden.
