Valerie Antoinette Cinquino, née Trapaga, has passed away June 2, 2024.
Pre-deceased by sister Wendy Trapaga. Survived by husband Michael C. Cinquino, sisters Elena DeStefano, Tiare Trapaga, and Rita Trapaga-Bazail, brothers Ernie Trapaga and Ralph Trapaga, daughter Marissa L. Cinquino, son Michael G. Cinquino, and grandson Logan T. Welch,
To many, Valerie was a beacon of strength; having battled cancer, in and out of remissions since 2005, she took on every day with a smile and incredible grace.
Valerie had a way of making everyone she encountered feel special. She had a natural charisma, an innocent sense of excitement for life, and an infectious energy that was so loving and comforting.
For Valerie, her family was always her top priority. No matter what, their well being came second to none. When both of her children were dealing with their own bouts of cancer and after her husband’s accident, she set her own needs and troubles aside and did absolutely everything possible to get them through their battles. When it came to her family, she truly gave her all.
Valerie was a warrior until the very end, fighting hard and beating the odds several times over. Her strength and courage were admirable to everyone who knew her. No matter what was thrown at her, she never let anything dim her shine.
